The University of Wyoming men’s golf team moved up four spots on Saturday to take the tournament lead after the second round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational.
The Cowboys fired an eight-under par round to give them a two-day total of nine-under par 567. They have a one-stroke lead over Colorado heading into today’s final round.
Senior John Murdock IV, who shot a 3-under 69, and sophomore Carl Underwood, who shot a team-best 4-under 68 lead the Cowboys and are in a tie at seventh place. Junior Dan Starzinski shot a 73 to tie for 10th place at 142.
True freshman Tyler Severin is tied for 39th after a 2-unde 70 and a total of 147. Fellow true freshman Jimmy Dales at 148 for a tie at 48th.
The tournament resumes today with tee times starting at 7:15 a.m. at the Eisenhower Golf Club Blue Course at the Air Force Academy.
