CHEYENNE – Brady Storebo posted a team-high 13 points to pace No. 5-

ranked Class 4A Cheyenne Central to a 72-17 road win over Regis Groff (Denver) on Thursday.

The Indians (7-3) raced out to a 17-8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Senior Tanner Weinberger tallied 12 points, while sophomore center Lawson Lovering recorded 11 points. Senior Blaine Lyman finished with eight.

“They’re a newer school, and they’re trying to get better,” Central assistant coach Randy Filbin said.

“We did a really good job of executing some things that we felt hurt us in the Taco John’s (tournament). We made a few more 3s, and they just did a better job that the ball got inside.”

Central hosts Scottsbluff, Nebraska, at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Central Field-house.
