CHEYENNE – Cheyenne Central posted 132.5 points to win a triangular against cross-town rivals Cheyenne East and Cheyenne South on Tuesday.
Nick Allen also qualified for the Class 4A state meet by winning the 200 free (1:58.41).
Allen has now qualififed for state in every event. Jake Geyer qualified for state in the 50 free (24.47 seconds) and 100 fly (1:01.98).
Kaden Anderson qualified for state in the 200 individual medley (2:17.12), while Trevor Sutphin qualified for state in the 100 fly (1:01.11).
The Thunderbirds placed second as a team with 119 points. Marshall Walker won both the 200 IM (2:11.14) and the 100 free (53.75 seconds).
Nathan Mead qualified for state by winning the 50 free (24.16 seconds). It’s Mead’s first state qualification of the season. Julian Yates won the diving competition with 236.30 points.
East’s 400 relay squad of Cameron Stout, Mead, Grant Schoene and Marshall won its event in 3:34.69.
Schoene was second in the 200 (2:01.26) and 500 (5:26.51).
The Bison posted 87.5 points for third place.
South’s 200 IM relay group of Nathan Fawcett, Joshua Anderson, Jonathon Ikerd and Luke Constantino placed first (1:47.98). Ikerd won the 100 fly (1:00.60), while Fawcett won the 100 back (59.55 seconds) and Anderson won the 100 breaststroke (1:07.99).
