CHEYENNE – Cheyenne East placed fourth as a team with 204 points at the Sheridan Invite on Saturday.

Laramie won the team competition with 314.5 points.

Senior Walker Marshall placed second in the 100-meter butterfly (1 minute, 5.31 seconds).

Classmate Grant Schoene took third in the 200 freestyle (2:12.35) and second in the 400 free (4:41.38).

Senior Cameron Stout finished third in the 100 backstroke (1:06.55) and fifth in the 200 individual medley (2:36.08).

Junior Julian Yates placed fifth in the 1-meter diving competition with 342.25 points.

Juniors Trey Turner (1:17.76) and Jordan Golding (1:17.99) placed third and fourth, respectively, in the 100 breaststroke.

“The boys had a really good weekend,” Thunderbirds coach Mark Dobler said. “Swimming in a meter pool’s a little bit different. Just a strong weekend. They finished well after (Friday). Looking forward to this last third (of the season) as we move through and get ready for conference and state.”
