CHEYENNE – Saddle bronc rider Brody Cress, a 2014 Cheyenne East graduate, notched his third no-score in as many rounds at the National Finals Rodeo on Saturday in Las Vegas.
The 22-year-old drew Big Bend Rodeo’s Major Huckleberry.
Isaac Diaz won the go-round with 90 points on Sutton Rodeo’s South Point.
Cress – who entered the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association’s year-end event sixth in the world standings – is now ninth with more than $121,587 in earnings.
Other winners during Saturday’s third round included: Tim O’Connell (bareback riding); Scott Guenthner (steer wrestling); Derrick Begay and Cory Petska (team roping); Marty Yates (tie-down roping); Amberleigh Moore (barrel racing) and Tyler Bingham (bull riding).
