CHEYENNE – The Cheyenne Central boys won the Division II Liberty Bell Invitational with 95 points at Heritage High School in Liberty, Colorado, on Saturday.

Senior Trevor Stephen placed fourth in 16 minutes, 11.2 seconds to win the title.

Jacob Frentheway finished 12th in 16:33.6, while Jason Frentheway took 24th in 16:56.4.

Kaya Pivilant was the top finisher for the Central girls squad. The sophomore placed 14th in 19:54.8. Freshman Sydney Morrell finished 19th (20:22.8).

The Lady Indians placed fifth as a team with 179 points.

Cheyenne East competed in the Division I race, and Mikaila Trujillo was the girls’ top finisher. She placed 45th (20:38.50).

The Lady Thunderbirds placed 18th with 466 points.

On the boys side, Cactus Rodgers led East with a 55th-place finish (17:28.60). The T-Birds placed 19th as a team with 450 points.
