CHEYENNE – Sydney Morrell crossed the finish line and immediately sprawled out on the grass to catch her breath.

The sophomore had just taken first place at the 4A East Conference cross-country meet at windy North Cheyenne Community Park on Friday afternoon. Morrell also led the Lady Indians to a team title.
