CHEYENNE – The Cheyenne East wrestling team went 4-2 at the National High School Coaches Association duals in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

East downed Young Guns Grey (34-18), Team Bro-Kenyon (45-29), Terps Xtreme (41-24) and Central Maryland (39-26). The losses came to the Ragin’ Raisins (66-9) and Illinois Cornstars Gold (40-27).

Junior 120-pounder Amos Solano was 6-0 with two pins and a major decision. Sophomore 182-pounder Bradley Whitright went 6-2, while classmate Landon Trujillo was 4-2 at 113 pounds.

Casper Kelly Walsh’s Analu Benabise joined the Thunderbirds on the trip, and went 5-1 at 152 pounds. He posted three pins and a major.
