CHEYENNE – The Cheyenne South girls swim team squeaked past Cheyenne East on Tuesday with a 95-90 win.

South won 10 of the night’s events, while East only managed to take two.

Four Lady Bisons led the way for South. Jakobi Mirich and Liberty Edwards were part of four wining events, while Keyarra Bassett and Dillen Philliips each had three.

The foursome won the 200-yard medley relay in 2:09.66. Edwards and Mirich also won the 200-yard free relay (1:59.64) and 400-yard free relay (4:23.41) with Alexandra Robert and Rayelle Brewer.

Mirich claimed both the 50-yard free (27.83) and 100-yard free (1:02.85) events. Phillips took the 200-yard free in 2:28.91.

In the 200-yard IM, Edwards won with 2:31.72; Brewer took the 100-yard fly in 1:10.01; and Bassett won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:22.69.

East’s two events won were from Erica Farris in 1-meter diving with a final score of 220.6 and Ruth Potter in the 500-yard free in 6:08.69.

Both Potter and Farris have qualified for the Wyoming 4A state swim meet.
