CASPER – The Laramie High boys basketball team had a hot start to begin the game and after halftime en route to a 20-point win against Jackson Friday for the second victory in as many contests of the young season with new head coach Jim Shaffer.
CASPER — The Laramie High boys basketball team used a strong second half, and pulled away in the fourth quarter to win its season opener 51-42 against Riverton at Kelly Walsh for the Casper Invitational.
Several Laramie High football players were recognized for postseason honors by the Wyoming Coaches Association. The all-conference selections were released on Sunday and the all-state selections on Monday.

GILLETTE — The Laramie High girls swimming and diving team couldn’t expect to have a better opening Friday for the Class 4A Wyoming Swimming and Diving State Championships.
CASPER – Shortly after her Laramie volleyball team punched its ticket to the Class 4A state tournament semifinals, Becky Baker offered some keys to beating powerhouse Casper Kelly Walsh in the next round.
“These kids have been around Laramie swimming for an awfully long time, and they have meant a whole lot to the Laramie High program through the years,” Laramie High Coach Tom Hudson said.
