CHEYENNE – The Laramie High tennis teams were in action for pair of duals Tuesday at Cheyenne South.

The Lady Plainsmen went 2-0 on the day to improve to 7-6 on the season with 4-1 wins against Rawlins and South. The Plainsmen swept Rawlins before a 3-2 battle in defeat to South to sit at 9-4 overall.

Senior Grace Dorrell went undefeated on the day at No. 2 singles with wins against Rawlins’ Bailee Thompson and South’s Jessie Foster.

All three Lady Plainsmen doubles teams notched wins: they were junior Kylee Cox and sophomore Lina Woelk at No. 1, senior Kate Dennis and junior DaiJane Giron at No. 2 and junior Teagan Riedel and sophomore Abby Kersey at No. 3.

The Plainsmen were led by two doubles teams that notched two wins each. They were the No. 1 team of sophomores Marcos and Sam Johnson-Noya and the No. 3 team of senior George Yost and sophomore Keegan Miller.

The LHS teams will next play at 4 p.m. Friday at Torrington for the final head-to-head team dual of the season.
