The Laramie Rangers American Legion baseball team mustered just two hits and committed seven errors in a 6-3 loss to Wheatland on the final day of the Alan Tellinghuisen Tournament in Spearfish, S.D., Sunday.
The Rangers fell to 7-13 on the season.
Laramie scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs. All three runs scored on a Wheatland error.
Wheatland pitcher Ned Hageman threw a complete game. He allowed two hits and struck out six on 107 pitches.
Reston Morehouse and Michael Schutterle had Laramie’s hits. Both were singles.
The Rangers’ next games are Tuesday with a doubleheader at the Greeley (Colo.) Gojos.
