The Laramie Rangers American Legion baseball team lost its fifth consecutive game in a 12-0 loss at Casper Wednesday night.
The Rangers (7-16) had just two hits — singles by Aiden Morris and Tyler Oppie — against two Casper pitchers. Laramie combined for six hits as it was swept in a doubleheader at Greeley, Colorado, Tuesday.
Casper put the game away in the bottom of the third with seven runs. Brooks Browning had the big hit with a three-run triple. The Oilers also scored five runs over the final two innings.
Will Clair went 3-for-4 at the plate for Casper. Zander Mcfee and Dylan Johnson drove in two runs apiece.
Caleb Eaton took the loss on the mound for Laramie.
The Rangers next games are at home as they host the Loveland (Colo.) Aces in a doubleheader. First pitch of the first game is at 5 p.m. at Cowboy Field.
