Basketball

3-on-3 tourney: The Juneteenth 3-on-3 basketball tournament is scheduled for June 15-16 at Cheyenne East High, 2800 E. Pershing Blvd.

The tournament is for players who are at least 10 years old. The cost is $40 per four-player team with a guarantee of two games. The entry deadline is June 15.

Central girls camp: The Cheyenne Central girls basketball team will host a youth basketball camp June 28-29.

The camp is for students currently in the fourth through eighth grades. The camp for fourth- through sixth-graders runs from 8-11 a.m. The camp for seventh- and eighth-graders runs from 1-4 p.m.

The cost is $45 per camper.

LCCC camp: The Laramie County Community College women’s and men’s basketball teams will conduct a youth camp June 24-27.

The camp is for children between the ages of 6 and 13 and costs $125.

The camp for 6- to 9-year-old girls and 10- to 13-year-old boys runs from 9 a.m. to noon. The camp for 6- to 9-year-old boys and 10- to 13-year-old girls goes from 1-4 p.m.

Wyoming camp: The second Wyoming Hoops Camp will be held June 25-26 at the BEAST Foundation, 2900 Sunflower Rd.

The registration fee is $80 per player. Campers will get a T-shirt and compete for camp prizes.

Cheerleading

South clinic: The Cheyenne South spirit squads will hold their annual summer youth cheer clinic July 17-18.

The camp runs from 6-7:30 p.m. in the South High commons both days.

It is for girls and boys as young as 4 years old. The cost is $80, with a discount for siblings.

Participants will get a T-shirt, poms and a bow.

Registration must be received by June 17 to ensure shirts, poms and bows. Payment can be made the first day of the clinic.

Children will be taught basics of cheer, routines and three songs that will be performed as they march in the Cheyenne Frontier Days parade July 20.

Football

Central camp: The Cheyenne Central football team will conduct a youth football camp Aug. 5-7 at Riske Field.

The camp runs from 8-11 a.m. each day, and is for players currently in the third through eighth grades. The cost is $60 per camper, and includes a T-shirt and football.

South camp: The Cheyenne football team will hold a youth camp June 24-26 at Bison Stadium.

The camp is for children entering third through eighth grades and costs $45.

The camp runs from 9-11 a.m. all three days. Camp awards will be given out at a cookout immediately after the June 26 session.

Each camper will get a camp football and T-shirt.

Instruction will cover fundamentals, with offensive, defensive and special teams periods, as well as 7-on-7 games.

Golf

East academy: The Cheyenne East golf teams will hold their annual youth golf academy June 18-20 at Kingham Prairie View Golf Course.

The camp runs from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. all three days. The camp is limited to 40 students who are going into the third through eighth grades.

The cost is $50 per child, and $40 for the second child from the same family.

Players will be split into groups on the driving range and the short game area. They will work on all aspects of the game, while also learning golf safety, golf etiquette and rules.

Rugby

Women’s team: The Cheyenne Lady Outlaws women’s rugby team is looking for players for the upcoming season.

The team welcomes all women 18-99 years old, regardless of their fitness level or rugby experience.

Anyone interested in playing can drop by practice at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Forum 619, 619 S. Greeley Highway.

Volleyball

Players will work on forearm passes, setting and attacking.

The camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon all three days, and is for children currently in the second through eighth grades.

Players will work on attacking, setting and passing.
