Mustangs youth tryouts: The Cheyenne Mustangs competitive youth baseball organization will hold tryouts for its 2020 under-13 and -14 teams Sunday, Aug. 11, at Pioneer Park.

The tryouts run from 1-3 p.m. There is no fee for the tryouts.

A player’s age is determined by how old he will be April 30, 2020.

Triple Crown tryouts: Triple Crown Wyoming will hold tryouts for its 2020 teams Saturday, Aug. 10, at Powers Field.

The tryouts are for 15- to 18-year-olds and run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A player’s age is determined by their age on April 30, 2020.

The Cheyenne Mustangs have joined forces with Triple Crown to become Triple Crown Wyoming.

Burns camp: Burns High is hosting a football camp for elementary and junior high schoolers Aug. 15-17.

The camp costs $35 per participant. Checks should be made out to Burns High. All proceeds will be used to help Colby Ward fight a brain tumor.

The camp runs from 7-8:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15 and Friday, Aug. 16. It goes from 8-10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 17.

Central girls swimming tourney: The Cheyenne Central girls swimming and diving team will hold a golf tournament Friday, Aug. 16, at the Airport Golf Course.

The tournament starts at 9 a.m., and the cost is $100. Lunch will be provided.

Women’s team: The Cheyenne Lady Outlaws women’s rugby team is looking for players for the upcoming season.

The team welcomes all women 18-99 years old, regardless of their fitness level or rugby experience.

Anyone interested in playing can drop by practice at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Forum 619, 619 S. Greeley Highway.
