Laramie County Community College announced Tuesday it has hired Keri Coats as its volleyball coach.

She replaces Austin Albers, who guided the Golden Eagles to a 145-57 record and two National Junior College Athletic Association tournament appearances in five seasons.

Coats has more than 10 years experience coaching at the college, club and high school levels. She was part of a College of Southern Idaho team that won the 2015 NJCAA tourney. Coats played at the University of Oklahoma in 2003 and 2004.

“I’m really looking forward to this next step in my career,” Coats said. “LCCC will provide the perfect opportunity to put my experience and skills to the test.”
