CHEYENNE – The Colorado Warriors scored three runs in the fourth inning to beat the Cheyenne Extreme under-18 girls fastpitch softball team 4-2 Sunday in Loveland, Colorado.

The match came in gold bracket play at the Blaze Invitational.

Ashlynn Balliet started the scoring with a two-run home run for the Warriors, who are from Niwot, Colorado.

Cheyenne (12-5-1) cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth.

Maggie Seghetti got Extreme on the scoreboard with a double to score Alexis Naughton from first base.

Seghetti moved to third on a pair of groundouts before designated hitter Jade Reinhardt single to center to drive Seghetti home and trim the lead to 3-2.

Seghetti was 3 for 3 on the day, while shortstop Kenzie Boltz was 2 for 4.

Ariana Galicia went the distance in the pitcher’s circle, striking out eight and walking just one while scattering eight hits.
