CHEYENNE – The Cheyenne Extreme under-18 girls fastpitch softball team went 1-1 on the final day of the Shootout on the Plains in Erie, Colorado.

Cheyenne opened the day by beating Northern Colorado Sting-Flores 15-4. The Extreme were eliminated from the tournament with a 10-4 semifinal loss to the Denver Khaos. Khaos went on to win the tournament.

Senior Maggie Seghetti led the way at the plate, going 3 for 3 with two home runs and four RBIs. Classmate Jordan Harris was 2 for 3.

Kaylee Wilson, Kenzie Boltz and Trista Stehwien were all 2 for 4. Wilson and Boltz both rapped doubles, while Stehwien added a home run and four RBIs.

Cheyenne (30-8-1) returns to action Thursday when it faces Gering and Scottsbluff, Nebraska, in Torrington.
