The University of Wyoming men’s rodeo team opened the fall season with a record-setting outing last weekend at the Chadron State College rodeo, while the Cowgirls also rolled to the women’s team title.

The Cowboys scored a school-record 865 team points during the first of four fall rodeos to better the old mark by 10 points set in 2018. The Cowboys, the two-time defending Central Rocky Mountain Region (CRMR) champions, outdistanced second-place Casper College’s 585 points. Sheridan College was third with 410.
