QB Dan Ellington: Ellington has been dynamic as both a runner and passer this season. However, he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in November. In the three games since the injury, he has negative-5 yards rushing; he had 603 rushing yards before that. So much of what has made Ellington lethal this season has been his ability to run the football. He clearly is not the same player he was earlier in the season, and it’s hard to blame him for it. But Ellington’s legs are one of his strongest assets, and if he can’t scramble in the pocket or outside it, the Panthers will have a long day in Tucson.
