LARAMIE – The University of Wyoming and the University of Louisiana football programs have agreed to a home-and-home football series starting next season.
Louisiana will host the first game on Sept. 12, 2020. UW will host the return game on Sept. 26, 2026.
Louisiana won the Sun Belt West Division title in 2018, and made an appearance in the first ever Sun Belt Conference Championship game. The Ragin’ Cajuns also played in the AutoNation Cure Bowl in Orlando, Florida, last season.
UW and Louisiana met once in Laramie in 1991. The Cowboys won 28-15.
The Cowboys were set to face Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas on Sept. 12, 2020, but that contest has been rescheduled to Sept. 16, 2028.
UW's non conference football schedules are set through 2023. It needs one game to fill the 2024 and 2026 slates.
