LARAMIE -- Eight former University of Wyoming football players participated in the Cowboys' pro day Thursday in front of scouts from 27 NFL teams, along with scouts from the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.

The players who participated were: safety Marcus Epps, running back Nico Evans, tight end Austin Fort, defensive lineman Sidney Malauulu, tight end Tyree Mayfield, safety Chavez Pownell Jr., defensive end/outside linebacker Kevin Prosser and safety Andrew Wingard.

Here are some of the highlights of the day. All the times and distances are unofficial.

Some of the more notable highlights of the day were:

-- Malauulu with 29 reps on the bench press at 225 pounds.

-- Epps with an unofficial time of 4.46 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

-- Evans with an unofficial 40 time of 4.54 seconds.

-- Epps with a vertical leap of 38.5 inches

-- Prosser with a 40 time of 4.58, 37-inch vertical and a broad jump of 10 feet, 5 inches.
