LARAMIE – University of Wyoming safeties coach Willie Mack Garza has been suspended indefinitely after being charged with driving under the influence, the team announced in a press release Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred Thursday night, per the release.
According to court documents, Garza was also charged with speeding in an urban area. Both the DUI and speeding charges were misdemeanor counts. Garza pleaded not guilty to both. He will appear in court again Nov. 14.
No additional comment on Garza’s suspension was available from Wyoming personnel.
