Bradley Belt

LARAMIE – University of Wyoming men’s basketball coach Allen Edwards announced Monday that redshirt freshman guard Bradley Belt has been dismissed from the team after a violation of team rules.

“We thank Bradley for his contributions to the program during his time here, and we wish him well in the future,” said Edwards in a statement from UW. The school would not provide any further comment.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Belt came to UW after one season at Washington Academy in Greenville, North Carolina. Belt averaged 29.4 points and 3.3 assists per game there, and shot 42% from 3-point range. Belt received a three-star rating out of five from rivals.com, espn.com and 247sports.com. Belt chose UW over Murray State and Alcorn State, and also had interest from Alabama and Auburn.

Prior to attending Washington Academy, Belt graduated from James Clemons High in Huntsville, Alabama, where he played basketball and football.
