The University of Wyoming volleyball team was picked to finish second in the Mountain West Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the conference office announced on Wednesday. It is the second consecutive season the Cowgirls were picked second to start the season.
The Cowgirls finished third in the MW last season with a 12-6 mark in the league and were 20-11 overall. UW also competed in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship tournament for a second straight postseason. Head coach Chad Callihan returns eight letterwinners from last year’s squad, including three starters and the libero.
