Cheyenne Tornado lacrosse

CHEYENNE – The Cheyenne Tornado high school girls lacrosse team split a doubleheader with the Columbine Rebels on Saturday.

Columbine won the opener 9-4 before Cheyenne rallied to win the second game 5-4 in sudden-death overtime. Kacey Scheiderer scored the game-winner for the Tornado.

Sophie McColl and Ellie Spiker led Cheyenne with three points apiece, while Mateya Sarne and Scheiderer added two each. Scheiderer also scooped up 19 groundballs.

Goalie Allison Roberts stopped 13 shots, including two saves during overtime.
