CHEYENNE – The Cheyenne Extreme under-18 fastpitch softball team won its pool at the Space Coast World Series Wednesday morning in Melbourne, Florida.

Extreme (37-9-3) beat the Carolina Riptide 8-2 to finished pool play 2-0-1.

Jayden Gashler was 2 for 3, with a double and two RBIs, while Maggie Seghetti went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Kaylee Wilson was 2 for 2 with a double. Jordan Harris’ lone hit was a double.

Michaela Moorehouse struck out four hitters and gave up just two hits during her three innings in the pitcher’s circle.

The Extreme open bracket play against the Hickory Lady Hornets Select of Belair, Maryland, at 7:35 a.m. today.
