CHEYENNE – Former University of Wyoming standout Justin James was selected 40th overall in the second round by the Sacramento Kings during the National Basketball Association Draft on Thursday night at Barclays Center in New York.

The 6-foot-7, 190-pound shooting guard was a second team All-Mountain West Conference selection this past season for the Pokes, who went 8-24 overall.

James averaged a team-best 22.1 points per game for UW this past season. He also led the team with 273 total rebounds, 18 blocks 48 steals and 141 assists.
