Former Cheyenne East girls soccer coach Jim Gardner was voted into the Wyoming Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Friday.
Gardner spent 26 seasons coaching the Lady Thunderbirds before retiring after the 2018 campaign. He guided East to eight state championships and seven runner-up finishes during his time on the sideline.
The T-Birds went 290-110-34 during Gardner’s tenure. They had seven players named Gatorade player of the year.
The induction ceremony is set for July 19 in Casper.
Joining Gardner will be Buffalo boys soccer coach Dick Edgcomb, former Green River and Campbell County wrestling coach Tom Seamans, Cody assistant track and field coach Scott Shaffer and Torrington Middle School coach Randy Adams.
