CHEYENNE – The Cheyenne Central girls tennis team won all 10 matches in straight sets during 5-0 dual victories over Thunder Basin and Campbell County on Thursday.

No. 2 singles player Kaitlyn Smedley won a pair of matches 6-0, 6-0.

The Indians boys split their duals, beating Campbell County 3-2, and losing to Thunder Basin 3-2.

Central hosts Sheridan starting at 3:30 p.m. today.

East girls edge Gillette schools

CHEYENNE – The Cheyenne East girls tennis team beat Thunder Basin 4-1, and Campbell County 3-2 on Thursday.

No. 2 singles player Grace Regeski picked up a pair of wins, including a 6-1, 2-6, 6-4, victory over Campbell County’s Alexa Richert.

The East boys dropped both of their duals, losing to Thunder Basin 5-0, and Campbell County 4-1. The Thunderbirds’ lone win came from the No. 3 doubles tandem of Marty Zhang and Logan Davis, who won in three sets against Campbell County.

East hosts Sheridan at 1 p.m. today.
