CHEYENNE – Katherine Selby and Brendan Lock won their second open titles at the Wyoming Governor’s Cup tennis tournament Sunday.
Selby repeated as champion by beating seven-time champ Nancy Loomis, 6-1, 6-3. Lock downed Milan Norgauer, 6-3, 6-7 (5), 10-5. Lock also won the Governor’s Cup in 2017.
Lock and Kelsey Hardsocg claimed the open mixed doubles title by beating Norgauer and Grace Dereemer, 3-6, 6-2, 10-4.
Cody Sanchez of Cheyenne and Vinni Lodolo of Great Falls, Montana, beat Joseph Froelicher of Cheyenne and Tony Lew of Rock Springs, 3-6, 6-3, 10-7, to win the men’s open doubles title.
Other women’s singles champions were Michelle Carlton (4.0) and Taylor Lenz (3.5). Matthew Smagacz (4.0) and Tyrone Beason (3.5) picked up men’s singles titles.
Women’s doubles winners were Linda Miller and Christine Pelletier (4.0); Brittany Wardle and Katherine Plowman (3.5); Laurie Hill and Marian Showacre (3.0). Other men’s doubles winners were Smagacz and Daniel Plowman (4.0) and Lon Huston and John Masters (3.5).
Boughton and Michelle Schilling won the 8.0 combined mixed doubles draw, while Benjamin and Brianne Sherman won the 7.0 combined mixed doubles title.
