DUBOIS – The annual Veterans Talking To Veterans (VTTV) event will be held May 25 at the National Museum of Military Vehicles in Dubois.
Organized collaboratively by the Wyoming Veterans Commission, the National Museum of Military Vehicles, Mentor Agility and VA Sheridan health care, this event aims to transcend the ordinary, bringing forth a day filled with fun, discovery and empowerment for veterans and their families.
The event begins with the Big Wind Singers from the Wind River Reservation. If you desire a low-cost fasting blood draw, they are available from 7-9 a.m.
The first 100 veterans will receive a commemorative travel mug.
The theme for this year's event is "Circles of Healing, Service, and Growth." With a 10,000-square-foot events tent, attendees will be treated to activities including tank demonstrations, rides on military vehicles, games and giveaways. Activities will include the Wyoming Health Fair, a career fair, virtual reality and outdoor fun with Wyoming State Parks, educational opportunities, a panel discussion and more. Â
The lineup of speakers includes Gov. Mark Gordon, Gen. Henry Huntley from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Conrad Washington from the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, David Clay Ward from VA’s Office of Rural Engagement, and Leigh-Ann Webster from the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaches.
