CHEYENNE – Aubry DeWine scored late in the first half and Erika Martinez scored early in the second to help No. 1-ranked Campbell County beat Cheyenne East 2-1 on Friday at Okie Blanchard Stadium.
“The kids came out played hard and it was a fun game to watch,” East coach Rebecca Valdez said. “We were playing kids in different positions and they played well. We still have some things to work on and fine tune, but I was happy with the girls’ performance.”
Avery Brinkman scored East’s goal in the 78th minute off an assist from Jordan Griess.
