PREP SOFTBALL: East splits twin bill at Laramie

Junior Aleah Brooks was 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in the opener. Both of Gracie Oswald’s hits were doubles. Lillian Vallejo also had two hits, including a double. Madelyn Artery and McKenzie Millar both rapped doubles.

East fell behind 2-0 in Game 2 before scoring five runs in the second inning. Millar’s run-scoring double in the fourth inning ended up being the winning run for the T-Birds. She also posted a solo home run and finished the game 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Oswald was 3-of-3 with two doubles and an RBI. Rylee Stephenson also had a double and two RBI. Vallejo added two hits and an RBI. Taylor Hollibaugh’s lone hit was a solo homer. She also pitched a complete game.
